A Board Member of ForestAction, Mr.
Bhandari has over 10 years of work experience in natural
resource management, especially in the Terai region
of Nepal, where he has contributed to community forestry
user group (CFUG) formation, networking, CFUG institutional
development, good governance and develop self- monitoring
system in irrigation, Village Development Committee
and women’s group formation, designing and organizing
rights-based trainings for the facilitators of CFUGs
and NGOs, conducting forestry surveys, formulation
of operational plan and overall forest management,
organizing study tours, and conflict and buffer zone
management. He has conducted participatory action
research to advocate for effective NRM policy development.
