Impact of Decentralised Governance on Biodiversity
Nepal’s participatory conservation policies and practices are well recognised both nationally and internationally. Such policies were adapted since the early 1980s in the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, one of the protected areas (PAs) in the high mountain region, where local people were actively involved in integrated conservation and livelihood activities.
